Village Apartments is located right in the heart of Edinburgh's gay quarter, which is in the northeast section of the city centre. We share our reception with the neighbouring Steamworks sauna. Look for the 'Rainbow' sign outside our building.
From the Airport
Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is 8 miles west of the city centre. Taking a taxi directly from the airport to Village Apartments will cost approximately £18 and take 25 minutes. Alternatively, you could take the Airlink bus from the airport into the city centre. Buses depart every 10 minutes from outside the terminal for the 25-minute ride into the city centre. Fares are £3 one-way, or £5 for an open return ticket. Ride the bus to the last stop (on top of Edinburgh's Waverley train station) and from there either walk or take a taxi for the short ride to Village Apartments. Expect to pay no more than £4 for the one-way taxi ride from the bus terminus to Village Apartments.
From the Train Station
Edinburgh Waverley is the city's main train station for services to and from all over the country. Village Apartments is about half a mile from the station. If the weather is fine and you have light luggage, the walk to Village Apartments should take no more than 10 minutes. Otherwise the short taxi ride should cost no more than £4 one way.
From the Bus Station
Long distance bus and coach services arrive and depart from the bus station located just off St Andrews Square, which is about one-quarter mile from Village Apartments. If the weather is fine and you have light luggage, the walk to Village Apartments should take no more than 5 minutes. Otherwise the short taxi ride should cost no more than £3 one way.
Guests arriving by car will be pleased to know that there is free off-street parking in front of our building. Village Apartments is located in the north east section of the city centre. Turn off Broughton Street (B901) into Barony Street and go right to the end. Our building is on the left, look for the rainbow sign.
